Luas Fun Summer Activity Guide - Art
Dublin has lots to offer for this week’s Art theme. There
are lots of galleries and museums that have workshops for children and
activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Get creative this week and take the kids on Luas to enjoy the Art that
Dublin has to offer.

DUBLIN MINI MAKER FAIRE, SCIENCE GALLERY
What: Maker Faire is
a family friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. It’s a place where people show what they are
making and share what they are learning. Makers are of all ages and backgrounds and range from tech enthusiasts
to crafters, hobbyists and artists.

EXPLORER, IMMA @NCH
What: The Irish Museum of Modern Art’s family programme Explorer
welcomes children and adults to experience art works and art making together on
Sunday afternoons in the company of two of IMMA’s gallery staff.

TIME OUT OF MIND, IMMA @NCH
What: The Time
out of Mind exhibition engages with the theme of science in celebration
of Dublin City of Science 2012. The exhibition and programme creates a
lens through which to explore the connections between art and science.

FAMILY ACTIVITY & DRAWING PACKS, CHESTER BEATTY LIBRARY
What: Explore
the library with your family and draw objects from the collection with the new
drawing pack for adults and teens.

ART TROLLEY SESSIONS, RUA RED
What: One-hour session involving hands-on,
take home activities led by artist Jane Fogarty. The Art Trolley sessions are suitable for
children aged 3 to 8 years accompanied by a parent/guardian. Two children maximum per adult.
Also, family film screening takes place after Art Trolley session. Booking is essential.

A Family Tour will take place each Saturday at 12 noon
