Job Title Head of Infrastructure
Reporting to Engineering Director
Responsibilities
The Head of Infrastructure Manager’s accountabilities are the following:
- Managing all aspects of systems, traction power, overhead line and track maintenance in line with contractual requirements (30%)
- Ensuring the Annual Maintenance Plan for infrastructure is adhered to (10%)
- Working with the Facilities Managers and LRV Managers to ensure facilities management and LRV activities can take place on the network as required by the O&M Contract in a safe manner, and with minimal interruption to customer journeys or planned maintenance activities (10%) by proving safe access.
- Ensuring all faults and defects are resolved in a timely manner, in line with contractual requirements (10%)
- Always delivering safe infrastructure maintenance in line with company and legal procedures (10%)
- Liaising with operational functions to ensure that planned maintenance takes place with minimal disruption to operational requirements (10%)
- Ensuring any forthcoming obsolescence issues are mitigated and flagged to the appropriate parties in advance, with mitigation put in place (10%)
- Providing all appropriate records and data required to maintain the CMMS and deliver reports in line with contractual requirements (10%)
- To undertake the management of work in line with the principles of ISO 55001

Experience
- 5 years working experience of the railway industry + 2 years management experience
- Working knowledge of safety risks
- Level 7 Degree in engineering or relevant experience.
- Experience in the design of safety systems;
- Experience of the maintenance industry;
- Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety legislation and systems;
- Working knowledge of safety risk analysis;
