Luas Red Line Temporary Partial Closure: Red Cow to Tallaght and Saggart

Essential engineering works will take place on the Luas Red Line tracks near your home/business in the next days. The works will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September.

To facilitate these works, there will be no Luas service between Red Cow and Tallaght / Saggart from last tram on Friday 18 September until first tram Monday 21 September.

These essential rail works involve replacing track at Belgard Stop and the Luas crossing over Belgard Road.

These works are essential to the operation of the Luas system and ensures we deliver a safe, reliable tram service to our customers. The works will involve breaking concrete in certain areas and repairing rail. The workers, vehicles and machinery will generate noise at times. Therefore, it is best carried out over three consecutive days.

During this works, there will be no Red Line tram services between Red Cow and Tallaght / Saggart. A replacement bus service will serve the closed Luas stops between Red Cow and Tallaght / Saggart during these days.

On these dates, trams will run between The Point / Connolly and Red Cow only.

Luas Green Line services are not affected and will run as normal.

Where will the works take place?

The works taking place near your home / business will occur at the following locations along the Luas Red Line:

Belgard Luas Stop (24/7)

Fettercairn Luas Stop (06.00-22.00)

Replacement Bus Stop Locations

A replacement bus service will serve the closed Luas stops between Red Cow and Tallaght / Saggart with some restrictions.

Buses will run approx. every 15 minutes on these days. A valid Luas ticket is required to use the replacement bus service. Please allow extra time for travel.
